NIFT Counselling: Design course and centre selection

View complete NIFT info at  http://blog.malvikajain.com/nift-admission/

Design course and centre selection at NIFT

The next meet after the situation test is for course selection. Everyone sits in a hall and is called one by one to an adjacent room to get his/her papers verified. This is where you also specify what stream and NIFT centre that you want. The candidates are summoned to this room in order of all India rank in the entrance exam. The first ranker goes first.

In the large hall itself, there is a screen on which the availability of seats in various courses is displayed. This gives all those people sitting an opportunity to make up their mind while they are waiting to be called. So if you dont have a good rank, have your second and third options ready. Having said that, if you perform very well in your first year at NIFT you can change your stream second year onwards. You just might be able to change your centre at the end of the first or second year. We have had one or two transferred students. All this depends on availability of seats and on your marks, so the possibility cannot be predicted. You’ve just got to try.

The first year at NIFT is a common foundation programme in which the stream chosen is unimportant. Fashion Communication and Fashion Design seats get filled up first. These are the most coveted courses. The competition gets even tougher for Fashion Communication as it is offered only at Delhi and Mumbai NIFT centres (as of 2008).

At the orientation programme they also ask you if you would like to avail of hostel facility. I have written about hostel, room or apartment near NIFT Delhi in the blog-post House Hunt.

Just in case the prospectus didnt give you a clear idea about what each course is, here is a run through that lets you choose what you really want to do.

FC Fashion communication

FD Fashion design

LD Leather design

KDT Knitwear Design

TD Textile design

AD Accessory Design

FC :

graphics, journalism, photography, visual merchandising (which includes creating the look of a brand’s stationary, carry bags, store, facia etc), advertising, brand development - all dealt with keeping fashion and lifestyle in mind. For more on FC click here.

FD :

primarily about designing collections - thinking it out and actually stitching it. Two main subjects are pattern making and garment construction. For more on FD click here. To look at a few 2008 FD design collections clickhere.

LD :

same as FD with focus on leather. so this may lead you to make bags as well

KDT :

same as FD but they focus on knit fabrics such as that which makes T shirts and stockings, not just sweaters. So the students create fabric as well as apparel

TD :

the creation of different textiles and making designs on these textiles through print or weaving. you study fibre, yarn and fabric and the innovations beng done. At the end of 4 years you prepare a collection of home linen or apparel

AD :

lots of material exploration and how to fix things together. thinking out products in 3 D to make useful gadgets or just aesthetic stuff like vases. You can make stuff like chairs, mountaineering harness, table-lamps, ergonomic hammers, wine racks, mountaineering gear, candle stands, toys at the end of this course. For more detail on AD click here.

Advice:

First choose course and then centre unless you are getting a pathetic centre.
Reason: Your course decides your career. You can always do a particular course in chennai instead of Delhi, and then at the end of four years, get a job in Delhi or Mumbai.
If you don’t get your course in the top 5-6 centres and if you are not passionate about a particular course, then go for another course. Try not to go for a really tiny centre because after all, mainstream fashion is big city glam. Personally, I feel that industry experts will not visit small centres as faculty as their work and life is in big cities. I don’t know if the libraries will be terrific in small centres.

Which 5-6 centres should you try for? Just see which are the bigger cities - say delhi, mumbai, bangalore, hyd, chennai, kolkota, and also gandhinagar maybe.

FD, KDT, LD are roughly similar.
TD teaches you FD stuff + stuff about textiles (weaving, dyeing, printing etc)
AD is disctinctly different because you don’t focus on clothes and fabric. Read more in AD details blog-post
FC is distinctly different, teaching you abt branding etc. But you can still go for another course and pick FC skills on the way.

Thanks for every thing Malvika. My counseling was today 23th july 2009. Here are all the details so that you can help others the way you helped me.
NIFT counseling this year started on the 12th of July. The total no. of seats is 1290 out of which 631 are reserved.
PHP=3% RESERVATION, selected=24, NO waitlisted.
ST=7.5%, selected=97,waitlisted=78
SC=15%,SELECTED=193,waitlisted=120
OBC=25%,selected=317,waitlisted=183

All the above info is from NIFT site. Hope it’s helpful for you. IN FD and FC no seats were left. By the time my counseling was over, only a few seats in the new centers were left.

And hey, one more thing - In every stream i.e. FD TD KD and so o,n 15 are for general and the other 15 are for reserved category.

General selected=645, waitlisted=355.

The total selection for UG in Nift is 1250, while the call letters has been sent to 800 only. What you think of it? may be the previous records are important of not getting into and other streams favoured by successful candidates??
    6. malvikajain Says:

I think 800 top rankers are sentcall etters. everyone is not expected to join. After that the remaining 450 of the 1250 students muust be called. They must be the waiting list candidates. All suppositions, I dont really know.

hi..malvika here. this is an answer to your query angel bedi. fashion communication is just the thing for fashion photography in india. photography is your subject each semester at NIFT. there is a studio, input by lots of experts and lots of fashion buzz. in the beginning they teach u photography generally without focus on fashion. they start with black and white. we also learnt dark room techniques in a workshop organised by NIFT in Jamia Milia Islamia College.

    continued..

I am going into advertising and have interned at FCB Ulka and Ogilvy. Nift FC takes you in the direction of ads as well. U can jump into advertising from any stream if you are creative. but nift does give u an idea of the profession since advertising is a subject in Fashion Communication.

I dont know about the course at Pearl.

    hi suman,

be very very sure that u want to do fashion design. the course can only be done if u r passionate abt it.

apply to NIFT. they teach u the technical side of it – pattern making and garment construction as well as the design side

its the FD course. its 4 years long. many ppl apply so its not easy to get it. u have a choice of 7 centres over india, so giv it a shot. LD and KDT teach u fashion design as well.

if u r self-motivated n driven enough, go for a shorter course at some other fashion institute

fashion has a business/management side to it as well. the PG courses and UG Tech lead to that side of fashion

    i hope that helps.

Different centres have different strengths. Yeah…Delhi is pretty strong in all. Once you join a course, transfers also happen from centre to centre in the second or third year.
I think you should go for other centres if you are really interested in the course content. Find out which centres are strong in what..i dont have info about that.
I am presuming u will choose ur course first and then the centre.

Well, I just got to know that I’ve been accepted at NIFT (AIR- 11), so
I thought of asking you a few things:

    1. Is NIFT New Delhi the best campus amongst all the other centres?
    2. What exactly are you required to do in Fashion Communication? What
qualities should one have to take this field up in the first place?
    3. How does it compare with Fashion Design?

FC and FD are very different courses. one is abt advertising/graphics/marketing while the other is about designing clothes. so i cant compare them, you have to choose what you want to do. YEah I feel that NIFT Delhi is the best. The biggest advantage is that the fashion weeks are happening here (and in mumbai) and major designers are based here. BEsides, DElhi is the first and oldest NIFT centre
    25. PURUSHU Says:
    May 27th, 2008 at 7:41 am

    Well…am a guy cumin frm science background…nw i really dunno which to choose….FD or FC…Confused a bit!

basically am a good artist and am intrested in designing and etc…but advertising , graphics r xtremely tempting..

    help me out…
    26. malvikajain Says:
    May 27th, 2008 at 7:45 am

yeah..lotsa ppl from science background jump into ths, me included. once u join, u science background has nothing to do with ur course – FC or FD.

    look its a simple Q -
Do I want to design clothes? The aim could be becoming a national level designer showing at India Fashion Weeks. CLOTHES oriented.

Do I want to advertise/be a stylist/work at fashion mags like cosmopolitan etc.? You can enter the industry and fill any need/niches you find. Finally, you may drift into pure design, apart from fashion and clothes.

Ask yourself if you want the security of being a fashion designer or are u ready to explore and play around and fit in the communication world.
    27. malvikajain Says:
    May 27th, 2008 at 7:47 am

Btw.. they dont teach hardcore animation at NIFT. No Maya, no after-effects.. so don’t get confused there. in FC they teach web-design but no coding, only the design part of it.

FD and FC are very different streams, so it should be easy for you to decide if you know your interests.

    well…nw i hv two questions for u…

i wanna opt FC in NIFT New Delhi..

    1. So, do u need 2 spend so much for FC as FD??(a FD frnd tld she spends a lot…around 10k per month and more during end of semesters..since am frm a middle class family i cant do dat…)

    2. Are campus placements for FC is as good as FD??
    30. PURUSHU Says:
    May 28th, 2008 at 9:34 am

i cum frm a middle class family…so…it’ll already cost atleast 6k 2 live in delhi…i cant spend 10k every month jus for buying materials in FD..

so do u spend 10k every month for FC?
    31. malvikajain Says:
    May 29th, 2008 at 1:17 am

no i never spent 10 k in FC, and i think ur FD friend was exaggerating slightly. u wont need 6K just for accommodation in delhi. thats really steep. share accommodation, even with single rooms you should have to pay around 3k. I have answered the FD, FC things way too often. pls scroll up to read my answers on it. If I get info on approx. FD expenditure each semester, i will post it here (and notify u purushu).
i dont really know abt campus placements coz i was holidaying while mine were going on. pls dont compare placements/money etc. Just look at whether u want to design clothes OR be a fashion photographer/graphic designer/stylist/visual merchandiser/fashion journalist.
    32. malvikajain Says:
    May 29th, 2008 at 1:46 am

One of the replies I got about expenditure from an FD student who graduated this year.

“well..its difficult to give any figure..its not even fixed..depends on which semester u talking about…in the beginning its less..by th time u reach final year it could increase madly…but by that time u an expert n know the money saving methods very well like where to spend n how to spend…
so what i would suggest..if the person is even slightly dicey whether he or she can afford or not, after paying for tuition, accommodation n meal….probably it can be reconsiderd..coz there will come lot more situation where u just cant help…u have to spend..especially when u see other rich bitches spending like hell and coming up with flashy things….u know what i mean…life becomes miserable..”
    33. malvikajain Says:

th FD grad says that its tough to give a number, but they spend minimum 5 K on materials each semester. There are two semesters in a year.
    35. PURUSHU Says:
    May 29th, 2008 at 6:02 am

5k a semester is really really okay….but i am lot more interested in FC when i explored abt it!

i took up d nift design entrance 2 join FD…then i din hv a clue abt FC..

nw i kno what it is…

    i guess….

i wanna do FC rather than FD!

your blogs were of major help even though i found them like 4 hours before the exam and stuff but still..thank you!

i wanted to know if it is better to stay in a pg or hostel while studying at nift because someone told me that nift students work late nights often, like till 10-11 at night(?) and that it’ll be difficult to commute from home and such..is that true??

and also that you spent around 20000 every two months or something for projects and stuff?

i’m also a science background student and have cleared the dpmt aswel..i’m really hoping that the expenses won’t be as much as what i’ve heard cause then i’ll be forced to go into medicine :/

i’ve cleared the nift bftech technology [apparel production] exam with AIR 9, i wanted to know if you could give me any idea about the placements in the same course?!

i wanted to know[with reference to one of your comments above] how is FD a more secure option than FC?
i thought it was the other way round since once you opt for FC a lot more avenues open up for you to opt for later on, whereas, in FD you have very limited options to venture in or well the options are condensed in one direction only..you know what i’m saying?!

i wanted to know if the expenditure in textile designing was the same as FD or less??
it seems you have to shell out comparatively more money on materials and stuff in FD than in any other course?!

I did go to Canada on exchange. The criteria for selection is-
    1. Your marks (but smbody who flunked a year went once)
    2. Relevance of the course u wish to do abroad. It shud be related to the course u have done at NIFT. (Relevant candidates are given preference but smbody from UG tech went for a graphic design course once)

    hey malvika..
iv been waitlisted at NIFT wid an AIR of 692…i hvnt rly restricted myself to jst one particular field though i’ve prioritised them. my main concern is designing…so i dnt rly undrstnd y ppl do not opt for leather design n knitwear design so oftn…iv kinda heard dat it isnt a “secure” field 2 jump into. of course, FD stands tall since it isnt rly restricted to jst a particular material or smthn..bt then r leather design n knitwear design profitable too??
i did a course in radio jockeying wen i ws in 10th and i have an interest in photography too. i know i’ll do well in FC too…bt chances of me getting it are rly slim.
i’m in delhi and i’m pretty sure i wont get the delhi centre. iv consulted a lot of ppl abt all nift campuses n i get mixd reviews abt d chennai n gandhinagar campuses. cud u help me out on it n jst provide me some details abt d diff centres?? mainly, d crowd, faculty nd d life thr…
i chekd our ur previous comments n evn ur placements blog bt i stil cudnt find d answr 2 dis guy tushar’s questn abt whether all placements r done frm d delhi centre?? so, does it rly nt make a difference if i go 2 any othr centre?? i’ll stil get gud placement as d delhi students rite?? of course…my performance in my course wud count too…
    2 many queries..bt i’d b grateful if u’d help out…thnx!!

all placements are not from delhi centre, through students from other centres do hop into Delhi to sit for the placements
i do not know anything about the centres
‘leather design n knitwear design’ = full on design

    63. malvikajain Says:
    June 25th, 2008 at 1:14 am

Hi pragya, I’m glad the blog helped you! In choosing the course, just decide your end goal — do you want to be a clothes’ designer (FD) or go into advertising/photography/graphics/styling/fashion.magazines. You will definitely pick the skills required for either set of professions in the course you choose to study. FD is most hardcore fashion. FC, though fashion centric, can take you towards general design and graphics if you want.

    Hello:

My counselling’s on the 1st and I have a few questions. Are we allowed to change our course after a year in the same centre?
What is Accessory Design all about? What kind of placements can I expect? Can an AD student take up a twinning program?
    66. malvikajain Says:
    June 27th, 2008 at 12:43 am

yes rohit, u can change ur course at the end of the first year (foundation program), depending on marks and/or if a student of your year is willing to exchange his course with urs
AD details and placements are given on my other NIFT blog posts. Chk link above. Yes AD students, like all other students can do a twinning program
    67. raghav Says:
    June 27th, 2008 at 9:47 am

what is a twinning prog? like you can pursue two courses at one time or something???
    68. Malvika Jain Says:
    June 30th, 2008 at 12:01 am

in a twinning program/exchange program a student of NIFT gets to study one semester in a foreign university instead of doing it at NIFT. In twinning you pay the foreign university tuition fee, in exchange you dont. in either case you pay NIFT. you continue at NIFt from teh next semester. students go to canada, london, amsterdam and milan for these programs.

    84. malvikajain Says:

@akansha: accessory design teaches u a lot about product design (look this up online). it does not focus much on interior design. u will learn how to design things like wine racks, chandeliers, chairs. u will not directly learn how to design space/room/hotel.

im trying to figure out which ones better?
    AD or TD??
can u help me out here?
also, can u mention the career options for each of them cuz i get this feeling that AD is a bit…vague?

if you could help me out that would be great :)
    88. malvikajain Says:
    May 25th, 2009 at 4:46 am

@ charles: i can’t compare TD and AD. In TD you will get a career where you work with textiles to create all kinds of fabric or clothes. In AD you work with metal etc to make objects like wine racks, furniture and other lifestyle accessories. Choose what you want to do for a career.
TD course is more fashion and clothes related than AD. AD can lead to hardcore product design with a post grad such as the one offered at IIT.

at the end of the day, you should see what you want to be doing over four years – weaving, dyeing, printing, stitching, making swatches (Check Jacob Schlaefer online) or you want to be buffing, polishing, carving, shaping, thinking about ergonomics etc.

look at my blog-post on placements to see where you can expect to go after either course. Neither course is ‘vague’ as you fear. Vague shouldn’t even matter to you. You should just think of what interests you coz you gotta at least be in the right boat to row it.

    91. malvikajain Says:
    May 26th, 2009 at 11:44 am

@abhinav: u gotta be clear what u want to be doing day after day… designing clothes or doing science n numericals. pls decide. You should get the delhi centre but most probably not FD or FC at delhi. Total no. of seats in all b.des courses at delhi is 180. Your rank is 256. Total no. of centres is 12! Delhi is most preferred but south Indian students will mostly choose hyd, banglore and mumbai.

ur rank is good. first choose the course u want to do. then ur centre. choosing between NIFT and IIT is a huge career choice. centre etc are just finer choices. ultimately at the end of NIFT, ur professional success depends on ur placement and career initiatives. But at least u should be in the correct stream. Please sit down and talk to yourself and first decide what do you want to wake up to everyday – a day of design or science. Both are great options, you just gotta honestly see what makes u happy. Day after day, you will be doing the job at hand. Not ur parents.

Once u hav decided, then look at course and centre.

Hey Malvika.. got a query for my kid sis. She got AIR 598 @ NIFT and intends to do Textile Designing.. primarily my questions would be based on following:

    – Does she stand a chance for TD ?
    – What centers should she look forward to for TD.. if you would be able
to rank them specifically for TD in terms of Infra, Faculty, Placements,
    internship availability, exposure etc.. etc..
    – Does TD still hold demand and relevance in todays fashion environment
and how much does the course helps in thinking entrepreneurial ?

    Thanx a ton in advance..

ma’m last year i completed 3 years diploma in textile technology frm govt. polytechnic bt unfortunately i ws nt able to clear d nift situation test den u suggested and guidelined me to do not drop a year for just only prepairing fr nift and dat tym i was also having d option to join btech direct admitted to second year ……

so according to ur guidelines i joined d btech and now i have completed the btech second year from information technology trade ( colg – babu banarasi das lucknow, may be u will b knowing it) and fortunately or may be unfortunately i got 414 rank in nift b.des …….

now i am really in big dillema …
in taking a big decision of career….

Should i go to nift or just carry on my btech studies……….

belive dat i m nt really able to decide what is better fr me because of some these considerations:—

    so please go through it and den suggest sumthing after reading my whole mind;;;;

    1. firstly d big thing is interest m having equivalent interest in fashion communication as well as I.T engineering software developer…

    2. dis year passing my known nift delhi senior frm kd is suggesting me to join nift wid trade td and kd as i m frm d same background and completed diploma in textile technology 3 years bt i m interested in fashion communicationn bcs i have worked 2 months in mayur suitings bhilwara rajashtan i saw textile mills environment is not so gud all where looms, sound , fly and all…

3.third i also when see dat there is only 2 years left in graduating from btech and four years frm nift so i think sum tym dat i should complete btech and den shuld apply for pg courses of nift , nid andd iit…

    4. i am sum abt not so gud in sketching so sum abt i am afraid of d thing dat will i be able to do gud at nift… as i already performing well here in btech…. 70+%

5- am i creative d biggest thing dats nightmaring me…. odr wise i join nift and den aftr passing i will nt able to do any thinng…

6- sumtyms i also feel will i b able to be secure in nift fc?

ma’m i know understanding and den solving my problem really need a person who is completely aware of both d fields and also a gr8 physcologist..

i think u will really have to think on every aspect aand line of my query to again guideline me best..

Hi, i just wanted to no the no of seats avaibale in each center in general category . is it 30 or lesser than that because of all the quoatas
    127. malvikajain Says:
    June 4th, 2009 at 8:08 am

    @ramya:
what happened with us, four years ago was that in the counselling (centre and course selection session), there was no division of seats between general and quota. We just chose seats according to rank. We had the complete no. of seats to choose from. later i think people from quota simply joined the batches. So, if i were you, i would consider all 30 seats open.

Anyone with contrary info, please comment and add your tuppence.

    Hello Malvika,

I am pursuing MFT from NIFT Bangalore and have been selected for the student exchange program could you please let me know is this program usefull and do this help in my carrer growth?

What are the prons and cons od this program?
Is this opportunity given to only some students or is available for all the students?

    Thanks in advance.
    129. malvikajain Says:
    June 4th, 2009 at 11:42 am

    @apurva:
    Hi,
I went for exchange programme as a grad student. Damn damn good stuff. Amazing experience. Very useful. Not to miss this opportunity at all. You get to choose ur subjects from among so many. And international style is altogether different. Much smarter, much cooler. very effective.

Once you are there, if you are interested in working there, just get yourself an internship or work thing. U will have work permit issues but take faculty members’ help.

This opportunity is given to all students. All can apply. But only a few are selected to go. Which university have u been selected for? And yeah, the costs at each university differ. Someplaces you have to pay the foreign uni the tuition fee (in twinning programme). In others tuition is free (exchange programme).
    130. Apurva Says:
    June 5th, 2009 at 1:28 am

    Hey,

I have been asked to decide among these all universities:

London College of Fashion, UK (University of the Arts, London)
    University of Leeds, UK
    University of Manchester, UK
    Queensland University of Technology, Australia
    NABA
    Amsterdam Fashion Institute, AMFI
    Ryerson University,Canada
    Mod Art International, France
    ENSAIT, roubaix France

This is under the exchange program so college is paying for the Tution Fees as well as for the return ticket.
But i have to incurr my living expense which would amount to some lakhs.

To me this isnt a small amount but if this program is really beneficial than i wont mind in incurring the cost.

To me it’s not for fun but for my career perspective. Does this program help in landing a good job whether internationally or Nationally, did it helped u?

U have been there so u must be knowing that getting a work permit isnt easy and just for a semester no one would. Instead i have to go for an out of campus job which isnt accepted by the college.
Did u opted for internship or tried to get a job?
How much did it costed u?
    131. malvikajain Says:
    June 5th, 2009 at 2:00 am

@ apurva: costs over four months – 1000 canadian dollars per month for hotel room n food. then.. 1000 dollars flight tickets. 500 dollars other expenditure. some more lil spending that i dont remember.

dont think so much about it. Go for it! it may be once in a lifetime experince. will open ur head.. giv u lotsa new perspectives. totally worth it. while u are there live each moment, meet ppl, make the most of it.
listen, apply, go thru the whole process, get selected and then ponder over details. dont miss the opportunity.

    135. malvikajain Says:

@joanna: behind NIFT, on the road wher Mohender clinic is, the road to Green park extension, you will find hotels at walking distance (such as Shiva hotel). There is also Samrat hotel, but I think that one is not mid-priced.
For really cheap stay go to Balaji hotel near Karnataka restaurant on Yusuf Sarai road just behind college.

@aditi: we had to pay hostle fee during counselling. the trend must be the same. But pls chk NIFT hostel because it can be really bad. NIFT has changed hostels very often and it has been a different experience each time. and it’s horrible if it is far away. in that case, you should take a PG in hauz khas or niti bagh.
u don’t need a laptop right at the start. but eventually you will of course.

    June 8th, 2009 at 2:35 pm

    Hi reet,
You will have to consider the medical aspect yourself as I am very unaware to give to advice with that in mind. I am certain that NIFT Delhi would be a better centre than Bhopal since it is the oldest centre while Bhopal is extremely new. The blog-post on the details of AD will let you know more about that course. Architecture is a more traditional stream than AD and therefore it might give you a more stable career. I hope I have not just added to your confusion. You need to have a streak of adventure in you to opt for NIFT. I think you will have to take the decisions yourself.
    147. reet Says:

thanks for ur reply..actually i don’t have much idea about d arch stream..d people i have asked say that there isn’t any stability later n there are not many placements..do u think it is so even after it’s done from a gud college?n u haven’t added to my confusion di..now i feel if i take up AD, doing it from delhi will be better..n also u said in d blog that course can be changed at NIFT in d second year..so i wanted to know can d centre also be changed?n plz explain y u feel that architecture will give a more stable career than AD?

k thanks malvika ….but i had 1 more question im sorry im asking u this again n again …but im still not clear ….c which hostel to go will depend on my center right and i will get toknw my center for studying on 18th during my councelling …..so hw can i pay fees tht time????

should i call up nift office for some reference for payment of hostel fees ….do u think they will help as u r saying itz a different experience each time????
    149. malvika jain Says:
    June 9th, 2009 at 7:41 am

@reet: I don’t know about Architecture, so can’t talk about it. I did say changing your course and cntre is possible but it’s not easy at all. Please choose the course and centre you want to be in right from the start.
    150. malvika jain Says:
    June 9th, 2009 at 7:51 am

@aditi: it is indeed tricky if you are not sure about your centre. i think you should find out about the hostels of the centres you think you may end up at. Do call up NIFT and clarify. If you ask them whether you can pay for hostel later, I think they will say that you have the option if any seats are left in the hostel.

Since you have rank 237 choose at least the top 2 centres you would like to go to and make up your mind whether you wish to go to their hostels.

Consider distance from the college. If only one bus comes and goes from the hostel and you cannot access college easily by auto, then you might have a problem due to erratic timings at college. Consider cleanliness.

Check my post on NIFT house hunting.

In this case with my Rank 92, incase I donot get FC or FD which branch I should opt in NIFT Delhi centre ?

    Hi, there…. :)
    Good going,nice posts!!

While folding the third paragraph, you mentioned this:
“…if you perform very well in your first year at NIFT you can change your stream second year onwards. You can change our centre at the end of the first or second year…..”…

    Ques1: Does that REALLY happens?..

    i mean to say,

Ques2: Is it coherent with any official format too?
and.. Is it a so-sure-dependable thing, on which one can step-in NIFT with any lower branch, hoping to achieve a ‘FD-with-delhi-centre’ next year?

or one needs to have core links to behold such changes, or what kind of links one may need at that time..

and if you can mention, then please let us know a li’l more that..

Ques3: What actually the “PERFORMANCE”in first year, substantially counts as to do such changes? What, one have to do exactly, perform exactly?

    At last..

    Ques4: If, by any mean, one gets that;
Then, Is in anyway It conflicts me?(since, an year would be already passed, and i’ll be stepping in a different branch-people-system scenario)..

Please! i wanna know your personal reflection on this , if i should take an admission, hoping to step in higher formats next year(as my rank isnt that good, that i know).. on this coming 19th..

Hope, You won’t get offended, as i didnt intend to, but its a matter o’fate for someone, and still, just avoid if anything above disturbs you. in anyway. But, your suggestion AFFECTS and your opinion COUNTS a lot.

    Waiting…..
