From ‘Marrying Anita’ by Anita Jain
“Indeed, I’ve met countless young men like them in Spain, Indonesia, Mexico. Shaggy-headed, pot-smoking, guitar-strumming rock junkies who pay more allegiance to the Rolling stones than they do to country, creed or religion. Looking up at these men from my seat, I decide they all belong to Hendrixtan, a country that has been invaded by enemy forces and its population forced to disperse all over the world, creating this diaspora of “Hey man” – greeting, high-fiving males, living among us but really patrons for another cause.”
