As of 2008, the fee of every semester at NIFT is Rs.25000. In total there are 8 semesters over 4 years.
Question asked by a candidate:
I want to opt for FC in NIFT New Delhi. So, do you think I will need to spend as much for FC as FD? Since I am from a middle class family I can’t spend outrageously. Please give me an idea of expenditure in FD and FC.

How the NIFT situation test workshop went

The total duration of my NIFT Situation Test workshop, held in April 09 was 5 hours.
(1 hour of tips and hand-outs with examples + 2 hours of model making + 2 hours of comparative feedback and suggestions)
I saw that most students missed out on giving themselves a theme despite of repeated reminders. And many didn’t leave time to do the write-up at all.
Topics I gave: Table lamp and Fashion show ramp
Here is what some of the candidates did –

The hooded lamp
+ve clearly designed for the study-table
+ve Integrity in design – all surfaces were triangular
+ve two light sources for yellow n white light
+ve neat and strurdy
+ve Very good intersection of planes for a complex 3D level in design
+ve multi-functionalty – pen holder between the two lights
+ve good use of materials
-ve No write-up
